About Being Vegan

Of course as a vegan I had to learn a whole different way of seeing the ingredients of my food, and I eventually made my first Vegan Birthday Cake for my 18th birthday (I don't have pictures here but I gotta say it was amazing). Today I wanna invite all my friends to try the best recipe of BROWNIES I have. I swear you're gonna love them:
You need:

3\4 cups of soy vegan margarine
1 cup 1\2 of sugar (I use brown sugar)
1 cup 1\2 cup of flour
1\2 cup of bitter cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1\4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of apple cream
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 cups of chocolate chips
Prep! Preheat oven to 175°C. Mix all the ingredients, putting aside 1\2 cup of chocolate chips. Spread into oiled 9X13 pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over the top. Bake for 35 minutes. Let it cool... cut and eat!
Enjoy being vegan!
Being vegan is healthy for the body & the soul and drinking soy milk makes you pretty! ;-b

What a beautiful post!!! I loved that! Here's my favorite line:
"I became veg* because I love life and all the animals."
:) You are the best!
Wow, the rooster story. :( How terrible to have to witness that. I'd have been veg at 15 also if I had witnessed that! It must have been traumatic. Think of how many roosters you have saved since then. :)
Ooooh! Brownies! I don't have a vegan brownie recipe yet, and this one looks great. Plus, you swear I will love them! Lol! I will save the recipe and try it!
You are proof that soy milk makes you MORE than pretty!!
Great post. :)

Hope to see you soon!
Your story is disturbing but moving. I'm glad you wrote about it.
Your brownies look so good! But I've never heard of apple cream--what is it?
I like your blog a lot. Thanks for being courageous! I think you're awesome!
Great Post! Same here, I have been vegetarian for 10 years and vegan the last few years.
I have never been to Italy, but I have been to Netherlands and has 3 aunts living in there, 1 in Amsterdam, 1 in Amstelveen, and 1 in Nijverdal. It is a beautiful country.
Thanks for sharing your veg story as well as your brownie recipe. I saw that you are a new member of the vegan club, so I thought I'd post a quick hello.
I saw a chicken incident like what you describe with the rabbit and rooster as a child... this event opened my eyes too.
apple cream? usually you buy already at the store. Otherwise you cut pealed apples into small cubes and you cook them in a little bit of water on low fire.. you get the 'cream'! if not creamy enough.. make them creamy in a chopper or shaker..
Hi Valentina,
Just stopping by to say hi! I saw your comments on another site and thought I'd check our your blog. You are a very thoughtful and compassionate person. What a sad story about the rooster. Witnessing the killing of animals is an awful trauma. So glad you're veg! I like your brownie recipe. I'm thinking apple cream is the same thing the US calls apple sauce. I'll definitely give your recipe a try.
You are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, Valentina! Your love and compassion for animals fill my heart with joy. Thank you!
*HUGS*
